Toplamda 24 takım ve 163 sporcu bu büyük organizasyona katıldı. Turkuaz mayo ise Jasper Philipsen tarafından giyilecek. Etabın başlamasıyla birlikte bisikletçiler, zorlu parkurda mücadeleye başladı. Yarışın ilerleyen anlarında sıcak hava nedeniyle sporcular su ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaya başladılar.
Spor Toto Takımı'ndan Doğukan Arıkan, Ahmet Örken ve Serdar Anıl Depe'nin de aralarında bulunduğu bir kaçış grubu Manavgat'ı geçti. Bram, etapta Beyaz Mayo'yu giymeye hak kazandı.
Bisikletçiler, etap boyunca enerji ihtiyaçlarını gidermek için özel kumanya torbalarını kullanarak yarışa devam ettiler.
Etabın ikinci prim kapısını P&S Benotti Takımı'ndan Tobias Nolde geçerek Yeşil Mayo'yu kazandı. Kırmızı Mayo ise yarınki Kemer-Kalkan etabında P&S Takımı'ndan Tobias Nolde tarafından giyilecek.
Son metrelere kadar toplu bir şekilde gelen Peloton, etap sonunda hızlı bir finişe sahne oldu. Bu nefes kesen finişi Jasper Philipsen kazanarak Genel Ferdi Klasman birincisi olarak Turkuaz Mayo'yu giymeye hak kazandı.
