Şemdinli Devlet Hastanesi'nde, olası bir afet durumunda etkili müdahale ve hastane tahliye işlemlerini test etmek amacıyla Hastane Afet Planları kapsamında bir tatbikat düzenlendi. Tatbikata AFAD, Emniyet ve İtfaiye gibi paydaş kurumlar da katılım sağladı.
Tatbikat esnasında, hastanenin zarar görmemiş alanlarındaki çalışanlar ve hastalar, güvenlik personeli eşliğinde tahliye edildi. Hastanenin zarar görmüş alanlarında ise AFAD ekipleri gerekli önlemleri aldı ve güvenlik koridoru oluşturdu. Bu süreçten sonra, senaryo gereği etkilenmiş olan dört yaralının tahliyesi, Hastane Kurtarma Timi tarafından gerçekleştirildi.
Senaryoya göre, hastanede çıkan yangına ilk etapta hastane ekipleri müdahale etti ve ardından itfaiye ekipleri yangını tamamen söndürdü. Emniyet ekipleri ise tatbikat boyunca hastanede güvenlik önlemleri aldı.
