Rize'de etkili olan kar yağışı nedeniyle üç ilçede toplam 14 köy yolu ulaşıma kapandı. Doğu Karadeniz'in yüksek kesimlerinde yoğun kar yağışı etkili olurken, Rize'nin İkizdere ilçesinde 10, Çamlıhemşin ilçesinde 3 ve Ardeşen ilçesinde 1 köy yolu kapandı2.
Rize İl Özel İdaresi ve belediye ekipleri, iş makineleriyle yolları açmak için çalışmalarını sürdürüyor. Kar kalınlığı Çamlıhemşin ilçesine bağlı Ayder Yaylası'nda 20 santimetreye, Ovit Dağı Geçidi'nde ise 30 santimetreye ulaştı.
Vatandaşların ulaşımı için çalışmalar son sürat devam ediyor.
