Olay, Yeniköy Mahallesi’nde meydana geldi. Atatürk Caddesi’nden Pazar Caddesi istikametine dönüş yapan bir otomobil, bu sırada yola geçmeye çalışan Ş.T. adlı kadına otomobil çarptı.
Kazanın şiddetiyle kadın metrelerce havalandıktan sonra otomobilin üzerine düştü. Neyse ki çevredekilerin ihbarı üzerine sağlık ekipleri hemen olay yerine geldi ve yaralı kadını Rize Devlet Hastanesi’ne kaldırarak tedavi altına aldı.
Polis ekipleri de sürücüyü gözaltına aldı.
Kaza anı ise yakındaki bir iş yerinin güvenlik kamerası tarafından kaydedildi.
