Hatay Büyükşehir Belediyesi (HBB), vatandaşların daha temiz ve yaşanabilir bir çevrede hayatlarını sürdürebilmesi için il genelindeki temizlik çalışmalarına devam ediyor.
Çevre Koruma ve Kontrol Dairesi Başkanlığı, yağışlar sonrası Asi Nehri’nden Samandağ sahillerine taşınan su sümbülleri ve çeşitli atıkların neden olduğu kirliliği önlemek için çalışma başlattı.
158 kilometre uzunluğundaki Hatay kıyı bandı boyunca daha temiz bir çevre, ekolojik yaşam ve biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunması amacıyla kış aylarında da faaliyetlerini sürdüren ekipler, Asi Nehri’nin denize taşıdığı atıkları temizlemek için Samandağ ilçesi Deniz ve Çevlik Mahalleleri arasındaki bölgede kapsamlı bir temizlik çalışması gerçekleştirdi.
Ekipler, rüzgâr ve dalgalar nedeniyle kıyıya vuran su sümbüllerinin yanı sıra kamyon lastiğinden çöp poşetine kadar tonlarca atığı topladı.
