Rize'nin Çayeli ilçesinde meydana gelen heyelanda 1 kişi hayatını kaybederken, 4 kişi yaralandı. Yoğun yağışların etkili olduğu Eskipazar Mahallesi’nde, 6 katlı bir apartmanın arka tarafında bulunan toprak kütlesinin kayması sonucu olay meydana geldi.
Durumun bildirilmesi üzerine bölgeye AFAD, polis, itfaiye ve 112 Acil Sağlık ekipleri sevk edildi. Heyelan nedeniyle apartmanın giriş katını toprakla dolması sonucu Yakup Bayraktar yaşamını yitirdi, 4 kişi ise yaralanarak hastanelere kaldırıldı.
Ekiplerin, apartmanda yaşayan diğer vatandaşların tahliyesini sürdürdüğü öğrenildi.
